Quilting: a long needle is used to sew a fabric with interlayer to fix the cotton inside.
Quilting products are usually composed of three layers of materials: fabric, filling material and bottom material. The shapes of filling materials are also different. There are flocs and loose fibers. In the process of using quilting products, after long-term use, they are easily damaged by overturning and friction, resulting in unstable shape, flow and shrinkage, uneven thickness, etc.
In order to make the outer fabric of the quilt and the inner core of the filling close and fix, and make the filling thin and even, the stitches of the sewing thread are combined on the three-layer materials to form a variety of graphic tracks, which are arranged irregularly, independent or repeated regularly, to sew the three-layer materials firmly. These sewing thread pattern tracks can not only prevent the movement of filling materials (e.g. cotton spray, silk, down, etc.), but also enhance the three-dimensional sense of sewing products, so that they have better decorative functions at the same time. This process of increasing aesthetic feeling and practicability is called quilting process.
